Two young girls find themselves trapped under the oppressive rule of the Temple, a totalitarian regime that feeds on fear and obedience. As the system works relentlessly to break their bond, the girls must cling to each other and resist the forces determined to erase their dignity. Their courage becomes a testament to a love strong enough to survive even the harshest attempts to destroy it.
ACMI Audience Lab 2026 Selection
Heliade (on left) and Selena (on the right) are two 10-year old sisters from the Sun and Moon nations. The concept for celestial twins existed for a long time in my head, however I developed their designs for the animation this year. I started with exploring cultural clothing and different color combinations for them. During pre-production, I exaggerated geometrical appearance.
Flammi (Sun Nation) are inspired by Mesopotamian culture.
Flumeni (Moon Nation) are based on Ancient Greek culture.
